We’re back for another week of Loan Report nourishment, and have a couple of goals to lead the way; one from a familiar face, one not quite so much.
Headliners
Lucas Piazon’s two-year loan to Portuguese side Rio Ave effectively sounded the death knell on his Chelsea career, and gives him enough time to settle into his new surroundings with a view to a more permanent arrangement moving forward. He made his presence felt in midweek by scoring a late winner away to Sporting CP in the cup, making the sort of headlines you’d expect of such a victory too.
It wasn’t enough to earn him any more minutes at home to Porto on Sunday however.
Iké Ugbo has been prolific so far in his time at Roda JC in the Dutch second tier and, having been denied a goal last weekend, was back in the swing of things on Friday with his fourth of the season in a draw at home to De Graafschap.

England
Premier League
Danny Drinkwater is still sidelined through injury from his extra-curricular excursion.
Championship
Conor Gallagher is still a star attraction at Charlton; in a 1-0 win at home to Leeds on Saturday, he was Man of the Match yet again, and has become an integral part of a team that has already established themselves as a top-six side in their first season after promotion.
Another fantastic team performance today by @CAFCofficial at The Valley in the 1-0 win against #LeedsUnited. Any one of the #cafc players could have won #ManofTheMatch but #ConorGallagher was the unanimous choice in the lounges pic.twitter.com/PFDmhjr0VE

Trevoh Chalobah has been quietly impressive for a struggling Huddersfield Town side, and produced another good show in a 1-1 draw at home to Millwall.
Izzy Brown claimed two assists as Luton won 2-1 at Blackburn; playing in a deeper midfield role this season, he’s really starting to thrive in a new position, and is earning more and more playing time as he finds match fitness after so long out through injury.
Matt Miazga is still out injured at Reading, while Jake Clarke-Salter (Birmingham) and Dujon Sterling (Wigan) are no closer to playing.
League One
Richard Nartey was solid and composed as always as Burton beat Premier League side Bournemouth in midweek League Cup action. The Brewers had no weekend fixture as Bury, their scheduled opponents, are no longer in the division.
Luke McCormick is still on the outside looking in at Shrewsbury, and Jacob Maddox is still injured at Tranmere.
League Two
Josh Grant was an unused substitute as Plymouth won 1-0 at Mansfield.
Italy
Atalanta beat Roma 2-0 in midweek with Mario Pašalić playing just two minutes, and Davide Zappacosta still out injured. Pašalić then played a full match in a resounding 4-1 win at Sassuolo.
Spain
There was an assist from the bench for Kenedy in midweek as he played half an hour in Getafe’s 3-3 draw at Valencia. He played the duration of the second half on Saturday, but was on the end of a 2-0 defeat to Barcelona.
Baba Rahman’s injury will keep him out of action at Mallorca for a few weeks.
Germany
Lewis Baker played the full match as Fortuna Dusseldorf lost 2-1 to Freiburg, while Ethan Ampadu was an unused substitute again for Leipzig.
France
Tiémoué Bakayoko and Monaco picked up a pair of wins this week, against Nice and Brest, and the big central midfielder has already asserted himself as a key part of their midfield on his return to the principality.
Netherlands
Vitesse’s 2-1 win at RKC once again came without the injured Charly Musonda or Jamal Blackman.
Juan Castillo played as Jong Ajax beat MVV 4-1 in the Eerste Divisie.
Scotland
Nathan Baxter, although still injured, is back in training and closer to a return. There’s still a way to go, but seeing him back on the training pitch is very encouraging.

Turkey
Victor Moses is still injured.
Hungary
Danilo Pantic played twenty minutes as MOL Fehervar lost 2-0 at home to Ujpest.
Brazil
Nathan played ninety minutes in midweek as Atlético-MG lost 1-0 at Avaí, but was an unused sub as they were knocked out of the Copa Sudamericana on penalties by Colón on Friday night.

Covid-19
Several league campaigns were curtailed earlier than expected due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Numbers for those players are assumed to be as of the formal end of that respective season; whether the stats officially count or not, we will take them as having happened.
