It was a quiet week on the Loan Army front but, for one or two Chelsea players, it was nevertheless an important one.
Headliners
Kenedy takes the plaudits for his third goal of the season, a late effort off the bench that helped Getafe beat Ajax 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 match. It took a little deflection on its way in, but it was a good goal nonetheless.
He got slightly more time from the bench against Sevilla on Sunday but wasn’t able to add to his tally.
Mario Pašalić’s time at Atalanta continues to go from strength to strength; he wasn’t on the scoresheet this week but, in playing a part in two of their four goals against Valencia in midweek, he put the Nerazzurri in a commanding position to reach the last eight of the Champions League.
To give a sense of just how remarkable an achievement that would be, Atalanta have a wage bill roughly similar to that of Reading, sitting in the bottom half of England’s second tier. Pašalić is almost certain to sign permanently in Bergamo this summer, and their story could get even better still.
Their match against Sassuolo on Sunday was postponed along with five other Serie A matches due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation.
The Champions League also afforded Ethan Ampadu the opportunity to remind everyone that he is a wonderful young footballer in his own right, as he made light of Leipzig’s defensive personnel problems by leading the Germans to a 1-0 win away to Tottenham Hotspur. He was, in every sense of the word, outstanding.

Premier League
Danny Drinkwater was an unused substitute as Aston Villa lost 2-0 at Southampton.
Championship
Another week, another assist for Conor Gallagher. His latest helper sent Swansea on their way to a 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town and saw him surpass Mason Mount’s combined goal contribution from his stay at Derby County last season; no mean feat in itself.
Just another Conor Gallagher assist. Played at 10 more frequently, but has surpassed Mason Mount for goal contributions (incl penalties won) in the Championship, in fewer minutes. Let it not go under the radar, we've got some great prospects. https://t.co/yAcXnGELkx

Manager Pep Clotet explained afterwards that he would have been able to continue if needed, but he felt the experience of Harlee Dean from the bench was required at that stage of the game.

Covid-19
Several league campaigns were curtailed earlier than expected due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Numbers for those players are assumed to be as of the formal end of that respective season; whether the stats officially count or not, we will take them as having happened.
